Installing art lights
To make sure your art lights give the best effect and show your artwork in the best possible way, place your lights at a 30-degree angle. To determine the proper distance and the angle, follow this simple, two-step process.
1. Measure the distance from the ceiling to the center of the object to be lit.
2. Divide this number by 2 and multiply by 1.1. This will determine the horizontal distance from the object.
Example: The center of the picture is 40″ from the ceiling. One half of 40 equals 20″ multiplied by 1.1 is 22″.
